Macedonia

                                           My country

I live in Macedonia. The capital city is Skopje. Macedonia also has a                                                                                              new name, North Macedonia. It’s also located in Europe.

-         Population, language, places and food

In Macedonia the population is around 2 million people. Here in Macedonia most people speak Macedonian language. If you want to go on a vaccation here in Macedonia, you don’t have to worry about how much money you bring, because here in Macedonia things are very cheap. There are so many beautiful places to visit. For example, you should visit the Canyon Matka, Mavrovo National Park, Ohrid Town, Stobi, the Old Bazaar and many more! The food here is great. There are many choices on what to eat. There are also a lot of famous traditional meals that people here love, for exapmle Musaka (meat & potato dish), Sarma (cabbage rolls with meat & rice), Ajvar (red paprika spread), Pastrmajlija, Turli Tava (mixed veggies and meat in a pan), Polneti piperki (stuffed bell peppers), Zelnik/Pita (stuffed pastry/pie) and many more!

-         People and homes

I think in Macedonia people can sometimes be rude, but also be very helpful and interesting to hang out with. People nowadays usually live in buildings. But there are also some people that live in houses as well. Many people that still live in houses, have modern style houses.

-         Hobbies and popular activities

Teenagers here like to go out and hang out with their friends in their free time. They also like going shopping. Adults in the other hand, like working around the house. Popular outdoor activities here are Hiking, Rock climbing, Diving, Jogging and more! Here in Macedonia, if you are a tourist you can Explore Skopje, go on a day trip, go on the beach etc. Also, you can go on a sightseeing holiday and visit places of interest.

In my opinion, I don’t mind living here, but I would still prefer to live     somewhere else!
